Eat Better
Smaller portions, fewer calories, less fat and sugar are all key to maintaining a balanced diet.
To prevent diabetes, make sure to mix things up by adding a range of food types to your daily meal plan like fruit, nuts, veggies and whole grains such as oats, brown rice and even popcorn!
Put That Cigarette OUT!
Smoking is one of the main contributors of Type 2 Diabetes. According to Healthline.com, smoking can increase your risk of getting diabetes by 44% in average smokers and as much as 61% in people who smoke more than 20 cigarettes a day.
Say NO to Processed Foods
If you want to dramatically decrease your chances of getting diabetes, then it’s time to cut out the highly processed foods.
Breakfast cereals, pies, chips, microwaveable meals, bacon and other processed meats may be delicious, but can all have an adverse effect on your blood sugar levels.
